Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine is an organization born out of JUSTICE, to create EQUITY for youth, bringing together DIVERSE communities, so that all kids can feel INCLUDED for the promise of opportunity and a better life.

Justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) are integral to our mission and values. We recognize, affirm, and celebrate diverse backgrounds, lives and experiences of youth, families, donors, volunteers and staff.

We provide diversity training to all stakeholders and ask/give opportunity to Bigs, Littles and parents to share how they identify themselves regarding orientation, social/economic status, religion, race, choice of pronoun, etc.

Critical to child safety and match success, we integrate JEDI in everything we do, and continually challenge assumptions around status and experience to invest in building a culture of true inclusion. We are Bigger Together!
